Likeable veteran who ran a cracker to finish third over fences in the Summer Cup at Uttoxeter (26f) in July. Pulled up at Perth the following month and probably best watched on return to action.

Verdict
CALVA D'AUGE was progressing nicely with back-to-back victories over timber earlier in the season and could regain the winning thread now upped in trip, having settled for a minor role in a jumpers' bumper most recently. Good ground looks key to Paul Nicholls' six-year-old and he should have conditions firmly in his favour here. Lady Kk is respected carrying a 7lb penalty for her recent Ffos Las success, while Umndeni is just 3lb higher than when second at Exeter in October.
Verdict
LADY KK confirmed herself some way ahead of her mark when winning hard held at Ffos Las 7 days ago, notably impressive with the way she went through the race. She can follow up under a penalty, with Calva d'Auge and Umndeni next best, in that order.
